Many times, you sit in workshops or look up information online and learn how to eat; but when you get out into the real world, you struggle with how to put your ideas in motion. If this sounds familiar, you need one of these sessions to get hands-on experience so you know how to make changes in those critical moments.
You set yourself up for success before your meals – what you buy in the grocery store and what you keep in your pantry is where successful heart-healthy eating begins!
Grocery Store Tours
Do you ever wish you had a food and nutrition expert at your side when you decide which yogurt, beverage, or lunch meat to buy? Now you can!
Alexia will meet you at one of the locations of your usual grocery store and walk the store with you. You will learn how to decipher the information and claims on food packages so you can compare foods to determine your best choices, find substitutions for foods you currently eat, or explore new food options. The focus can be on calories, types of fats, sodium, fiber, or any other component of learning to recognize heart healthy foods.
For one 60-90 minute session for up to 3 people: $150.
Session must be scheduled within one month of purchase. You have the option to reschedule one time with 48 hours notice. Session expires three months from purchase date. Refunds may be given based on circumstances.
Kitchen Pantry “Food Make-Overs”

Discussions may involve understanding the ingredients in foods and how they affect heart health, finding substitutions for foods that can support heart health goals while still satisfying your palate, putting together meals with foods that you have on hand, or brainstorming ideas for snacks and meals to fill your kitchen shelves.
