
Credentials & Experience
Alexia is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credentialed through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist with Florida Department of Health. Her Certified Health Coach and Certified Personal Trainer credentials are from the American Council on Exercise.
In addition, she has received a Culinary Nutrition Certification through the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and is a Weight Management Specialist through the American Council on Exercise.
Her formal education includes earning a Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Dietetics and a Bachelor of Science in Health from the University of North Florida. From her previous career, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University.
Alexia has coached, counseled, educated, and learned and laughed alongside hundreds of people to improve their nutrition and lifestyle habits, break their food rules, and shut down their inner critic to improve their health and weight. She has worked in private practice, with a population health management company, and as a university wellness dietitian. She has also taught at the University of North Florida as an Adjunct Instructor and served as a preceptor for master’s level dietetic interns and undergraduate nutrition students.

Thanks! Yes… it has been difficult. And the hardest part has been convincing my friends that it’s not their cooking but the eggs and milk they put into their foods is the reason I can’t eat some of the things they cook. And to add to that my grandmother makes homemade banana bread with milk and eggs in it; I don’t have the heart to tell her I can’t eat it, so I just wrap it up and take it home.

You’re welcome! About a year ago, I found out that I was allergic to eggs and milk– and that of course drove me away from most processed foods. So I basically started eating foods that I either grew or packaged foods with few ingredients.

That sounds like a challenge – I’m sure you discovered that that eggs and milk are in a lot of foods/products! It sounds like you rose to that challenge though! I bet it feels good to know that you can change your eating habits and feel better. I’m a big believer in eating clean, minimally processed foods. Way to go!
